Iniquitas – Ztělesněná nespravedlnost
„Nejsem hněv. Nejsem spravedlnost. Jsem rovnováha, kterou jste porušili.“
Nikdo přesně neví, odkud Iniquitas přišel.
Někteří říkají, že býval soudcem, který se zbláznil po tom, co odsoudil nevinného.
Jiní tvrdí, že byl gladiátorem, jenž zemřel neprávem – a aréna ho sama povolala zpět, aby vykonala soud nad svými pány.
Jisté je jen jedno:
Tam, kde se objeví Iniquitas, mizí iluze spravedlnosti.
Jeho přítomnost nutí mocné k tichu a dav k přemýšlení.
V jeho očích není hněv – jen chladný odpor.
Říká se, že jeho tělo bylo kdysi pokryto jizvami trestů, které mu uštědřil systém,
a že z každé jizvy vyrostl řetěz, který nyní nosí na zbroji jako připomínku pokrytectví zákonů.
Jeho jméno, Iniquitas, znamená „nespravedlnost“ – a on to ví.
Nepřijal ho, aby se s ní ztotožnil, ale aby ji zrcadlil světu zpět.
Jeho přilba je bez očních otvorů,
protože tvrdí, že ten, kdo byl nespravedlivě souzen, už nepotřebuje vidět, aby rozpoznal vinu.
Iniquitas – Embodied Injustice
'I am not anger. I am not justice. I am the balance you have disturbed.'
No one knows exactly where Iniquitas came from. Some say he was a judge who went mad after condemning an innocent man. Others claim he was a gladiator who died unjustly – and the arena itself called him back to deliver judgment upon his masters.
The only thing that is certain: Where Iniquitas appears, the illusion of justice disappears. His presence forces the powerful into silence and the crowd into reflection. In his eyes, there is no anger – only cold defiance.
It is said that his body was once covered with scars from the punishments inflicted on him by the system, and that from each scar grew a chain that he now wears on his armor as a reminder of the hypocrisy of laws.
His name, Iniquitas, means 'injustice' – and he knows it. He did not take it on to identify with it, but to reflect it back to the world.
His helmet has no eye openings, because he claims that someone who has been unjustly judged no longer needs to see to recognize guilt.
